Mighty Falcon Marching Band wins first place trophy at annual Buckwheat Festival in WV.

The Connellsville “Might Falcon Marching Band” participated in the 76th annual Buckwheat festival in Kingwood, Preston County, West Virginia, on Saturday, September 30th. The Band won first place in their division and this was first appearance of the Mighty Falcon Marching Band at the festival since 2006, leaving a gap in their Tradition of winning first place in the annual Buckwheat Festival parade. “I’m very proud of the progress the students have made. It

shows that hard work can really pay off” said Jonathan Eutsey, the Connellsville Senior High School band director. Eutsey also wishes to restart the tradition, and bring the Falcon Marching band to the Buckwheat festival yearly.
