What responsibilities do you have as the student council President?
“As the Student Council President I oversee and carry out the student body's wants for an exciting school environment. Just recently I organized and planned the “Ice Cream Social”, which succeeded as one of the largest turnouts (for the Halloween dance) we’ve had in years.”
Do you enjoy being student council President? Is it what you expected?
“Yes I do very much, I really enjoy contributing to the school in such a big way. As Public Relations Officer I really knew the responsibilities of the President so, yes, I expected it.”
What do you like the most about your position?
My favorite part of being Student Council President is the feeling of accomplishment and pride I have when I see the student body enjoying something and knowing that I'm the one responsible for the happiness of the student body. I like knowing someone enjoyed something I planned, it makes me feel good and successful.”
How do you select music for music Mondays?
“I try to stick with a theme if there’s like a holiday coming up or just a random theme. I also talk with the other officers as to what they want. If there are any requests I usually try to fulfill them.”
What is your advice for future officers of student council?
“My advice would be, whether it be student council or another leadership position, that you stay humble and be willing to work hard and go the extra mile to make sure the organization is the best it can be.”
