CAHS Graduate Hall of Fame Member of the Week: Mike Tomaro

This weeks CAHS graduate hall of fame member is Mike Tomaro. Mike graduated from Connellsville in 1976. He was a member of the “Pershing’s Own” U.S. Army Band in Washington, D.C. from 1980-1997. In the band he has performed with Presidents Reagan, Bush, Clinton as well as many heads of state from across the world. Tomaro was also the director of jazz studies at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. He has composed and arranged for two Grammy Award winning recordings. Mike has also many books on jazz musicianship. Mike currently has dedicated the majority of his time to organizing and arranging many concerts in benefit for Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
