A huge thank you to all of you who donated to the Mitten Tree. It is you who make this possible. A donation of 355 items (hats, mittens, scarves, gloves and headbands) were donated to Connellsville Community Ministries for local distribution during the holiday and cold winter season. I’m sure they will get plenty of use.
Four special thank you’s this year go out to Quest Transit in Scottsdale, Alicia Stitchick from West Crawford Elementary, Indian Head Church of God and Dr. Means office (Faywest Family Practice) Quest hosted a box and returned it overflowing with items. Indian Head Church of God hosted a box for three weeks and returned two full boxes. Dr. Means office returned the box full to rim of mittens and hats. Ms. Stitchick and her second grade class collected items for two weeks while discussing the importance of kindness and the holiday season. They also sent us a full box of items. What wonderfully generous people we have in our community! Our mitten tree grew to two!
