Joint Apprenticeship Journeyman Training Program

The United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers, and Allied Workers Local 37 Joint Apprenticeship Committee are accepting applications and testing those wishing consideration for Roofers Local 37 Apprenticeship Program. 

Roofers Local 37 has jurisdiction in the counties of Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Elk, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Huntington, Indiana, Jefferson, Somerset, Washington, and Westmoreland.

Applications are taken at the JAC Training Center, located at 230 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue, PA 15202, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (Please schedule an appointment beforehand!) 

Applications should be filed before March 23rd, 2018 to assure consideration for the June 2018 Apprentice class. 

Minimum Requirements Are:
1. Be of legal working age

2. Be physically able to perform the manual work of the trade. (A Roofer should have no fear of heights, a good sense of balance, and a better than average sense of safety for him/herself and their co-workers. They should enjoy working with their hands and accept working outdoors, sometimes under unpleasant working conditions.)

3. Proof of High School Graduate or equivalent G.E.D. Certificate (Official Transcript)

4. Have a valid PA Drivers license and reliable transportation

5. Be of good moral character

6. Must reside within the geographical jurisdiction of Local #37
