Business Law 2 students finally got to duke it out in a debate. This particular debate surrounded the topic of: should perpetrator's of a hate crime be given a harsher sentence? The debate had two sides, whether you agree that those who commit hate crimes should be punished more, and the other side was you think that they should just be punished for the crime(s) they committed omitting the hate crime. Mrs. Gummo's 1st period class was a close call but the side for no extra time or punishment for those who commit a hate crime won the debate. In Mrs. Gummo's 7th period class the side that was for the harsher punishment for those who commit hate crime(s) won the debate.
