I sat down with News Anchor, Annie Trader and asked her some questions about her experience this year.
Question 1: What is your role on the Falcon News Team?
Answer: On the Falcon News Team, I am an anchor on the morning news.
Question 2: What is your favorite thing about being a news anchor?
Answer: I love being broadcasted live throughout the school. It's such an exhilarating feeling. I also like that everyone knows me as "that girl on the news."
Question 3: Do you feel that the first year of Falcon News went well?
Answer: Absolutely! During our first year I feel that we have made a name for ourselves, not only in the school district but also throughout the community.
Question 4: How do you feel your experience on Falcon News has impacted your future?
Answer: As I am majoring in Communications, I feel that my experience as a News Anchor has benefited me greatly. From my experience, I have learned how to effectively talk in front of a camera and read from a teleprompter. In future years I believe that I will be able to use these skills, among others, to benefit me in my career.
Question 5: What is your advice to underclassmen and even possible future news anchors?
Answer: My advice to all students and future news anchors is to enjoy the experience and have fun. I have absolutely loved being a news anchor and it is an experience I am glad to have had the opportunity to have. I wish them all the best of luck.
